Overview

Directional adaptation with cycle discipline

PHOENIX L/S retains the CORE, Recovery and Winner architecture while introducing a rule-based long/short direction process. A new direction is considered from a flat state; an opposite signal does not automatically flip an open basket. Short-side recovery has its own adverse-move geometry and pacing.

Inside the architecture

How this system works.

Direction modelLong / short
01

Direction after complete closure

The engine checks the current fast/slow EMA relationship after an actually completed full-flat cycle. The direction request is reassessed during the applicable waiting period; partial exits do not authorize a reversal.

02

Directional recovery design

The short-side recovery ladder uses its own adverse-rise levels, allocation profile and pacing. Total reserved capital remains finite, with long-side behavior retained in the corresponding mode.

03

Trailing and lot-level exits

CORE/Winner trailing and Recovery-lot take-profits retain distinct responsibilities. Dynamic ATR options affect the configured trailing behavior without turning a submitted exit into an immediate fill.

04

Campaign and risk continuity

Cycle P&L is assessed net of costs across a flat-to-flat interval. Campaign balances and historical drawdown remain visible when an active floor or drawdown reference is restarted.

Design considerations

Context matters.

  1. 01

Long/short participation is sequential; it is not a claim of simultaneous hedging.

  2. 02

Rising prices can make short-side losses exceed the original notional.

  3. 03

Restarting an active guard reference does not erase historical losses or drawdown.
