Overview

Universal Blocking System

UBS turns a long-side trading idea into a structured position cycle. Entries can be split into smaller allocations, additions follow explicit conditions, and exits respond to the position and the selected volatility settings. Capital usage and open-position behavior remain central to the evaluation.

Inside the architecture

How this system works.

Direction modelLong-only
01

Staged deployment

The entry structure supports split allocations and progressive participation. The selected strategy configuration determines how capital is distributed across the cycle.

02

Volatility-aware exits

ATR-based trailing phases relate exit behavior to market volatility. Their activation and distance settings form part of the strategy specification.

03

Capital recycling

Recycling rules connect realized exits with subsequent participation. Re-entry remains a budgeted strategy decision rather than an unlimited expansion of exposure.

04

Position and portfolio context

The relevant view includes the position’s average cost, realized outcomes, open P&L and aggregate capital usage. A profitable closed trade does not describe the whole cycle.

Manage the position cycle, not only the first entry.

Design considerations

Context matters.

  1. 01

Review accumulated exposure alongside realized results.

  2. 02

Evaluate allocation layers through prolonged adverse price moves.

  3. 03

Keep the exact exit, recycling and sizing configuration with each result.
